Fulfill your destiny - Scriptural roadmap
This message, is for all [including you] to assist you in fulfilling your destiny. It shows how to step into your destiny and be guided by the Divine.
God created you to fulfill your destiny. Your present, either in affluence or otherwise should not be an obstacle to prevent you from entering into your destiny because Heaven is waiting for you to enter into the glorious plan purposed for you.
Your destiny is unique to you and it is meant to have impact in one form or the other in this life, either humble or loud, your destiny is very precious to God, for this reason you are created and this is why you are in this world right now.
I pray God the Holy Spirit will help minister to your heart, quickens you and place you into the plans of God for you in this world as you study this message in Jesus name.
As you are reading this message, please read through to the end, study, understand and grasp its applications. May our Lord increases, multiply your understanding and use it to help you into your destiny. If you are in it already may the Lord uses it to establish you in your destiny till you fulfill it in Jesus name.

Every information or whatever that is needed for man to fulfill his destiny is in the Word of God. What one need do is to pray that Holy Spirit should open one's eyes and give him understanding to immediate and future concerns in his destiny in the Word.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV
Our Lord spoke of His plan which He purposed for a period and in due time He brought it to pass through His servant Joseph. This is one of the wonderful works of the Lord made manifest in the scripture, the Eternal Word. We will study it to guide us into our destiny for there is no better guide than the Word of God.
This message is for champions [in which you are one], it is meant to help usher you into your destiny with the help of Holy Spirit. If you are in your destiny, it will strengthen you. Thus continue…

"Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors". Gen 37:3 NKJV
Joseph wouldn’t have traded his happiness with his father Jacob for anything for all he knew at that age, but Heaven knew better and had a better plan than his present for him.
Application:
Contentment or otherwise i.e. feeling of happiness or satisfaction with your present may or may not be an absolute yardstick for you to say you are in your destiny or not. One needs to seek the help of God because God knows and have the best plans for us.

"This is the history of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers. And the lad was with the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives; and Joseph brought a bad report of them to his father." Gen 37:2 NKJV
Instead of Joseph to join his brothers in the wrong ways he decided against it but to be on the good side i.e. on the Lord's side.
Application:
"See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways …’ Deut 30:15-16 NKJV
God does not leave us in a position of uncertainty. He makes us understand where we should be to profit us in this life and please Him. He says in Deut 30:19 choose life i.e. choose and walk in His ways that both you and your descendants may live. God is opening our eyes and mind as to which side we should be to fulfill our destinies in this life. Choose life and good.
Your destiny is on the good side i.e. on the Lord's side, I mean to walk in His ways. Deut 30:16

Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more." Gen 37:5 NKJV
Joseph did not wave the dream aside as imagination; he quickly realized God was showing him some vital part of his life.
Application:
Do not despise dreams and vision which you are sure is inspired by God.
If you have a dream/vision that is good and is in line with the Word of God back it with serious prayer for more understanding from our Lord and with prophetic utterances.

“So he said to them, "Please hear this dream which I have dreamed:” Gen 37:6 NKJV
Joseph decided to voice his dream out.
Application
You have the right to say out your dream/vision if you so wish, depending on the situation around you. And if nobody believes in you, use the word of God to prophesy good things unto your life. Call yourself what God calls you.
It is appropriate to pray for God to open your understanding to your dreams or revelation.
Addition here, please be humble. Humility helps in many ways.
see what the Lord says “…whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” Matt 23:12 NIV
And in another place, He says
"Humble men are very fortunate!" he told them, "for the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them". Matt 5:3 TLB
likewise
‘Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, spiritually prosperous — with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth!

Meekness does not mean weakness but strong in the Lord. Humility helps you achieve what God has in mind for you without going against His Word 1 Peter 5:6

“His brothers said to him, "Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?" And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.” Gen 37:8

Application
We said earlier that you can voice your dream/revelation out if you desire. Just like in the case of Joseph, envy may push some against you; remain determined and strong in what God sees in you and what God calls you to be. God alone in His Son Jesus Christ that created you will see it come to pass irrespective of any challenge. He had made provisions for you to overcome obstacles as you feed on His Word.

Look to Jesus
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. saith the Lord Isaiah 45:22-23 KJV
Jesus is preaching salvation and destiny through His servants daily to the needy and starving world. When we are talking of destinies, we are talking of every soul that ever comes into this world. Many discoveries are available to alleviate the suffering of the world and too many are not where God will give them His secret or discoveries. Every soul that comes to the world has something to offer this suffering world that tells how important destiny is.
We make our petitions known to God through prayer
And our Heavenly Father has so many means of making His will concerning our destinies known to us
“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thess 5:17 KJV
Our means of communicating with God is prayer; it is important to set considerable time to reading the Word of God and pray as well. The scripture says “Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];” 1 Thess 5:17 AMP
Our Heavenly Father in Christ makes His will known to us through His many ways. These are some of the ways through which God makes His mind known to us on issues relating to our destinies.

“Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, "Look, I have dreamed another dream….” Gen 37:9 NKJV in verse ten Joseph told his father Israel also.
From the above verse, God repeatedly made His mind of the future of Joseph known to him.
Application
Persistent dreams/revelations which you are sure are from the Lord and are not against the Word shows clearly God is passing some information across to you.
Refuse to encourage ignorance to any revelation given to you by God.
Pray, for God to open your understanding to your dreams or revelation, for the position and promise of the Lord concerning your destiny is stated in His Word below:
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” Says The Lord Ps 32:8 NKJV
I am suggesting you can add this prayer from God's Word to your prayers
“Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.” Ps 25:4-5 KJV

And he told it to his father [as well as] his brethren. But his father rebuked him and said to him, what is the meaning of this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers actually come to bow down ourselves to the earth and do homage to you? Gen 37:10 AMP
Joseph’s Father and brothers knew that dreams, especially, from God cannot be treated as tales thus the subsequent reactions and comment that followed.
Application
Whatever you say, people will have comment. Refuse to be discouraged by the opinion of people, even peoples around you, especially when negating the mind of God towards you. Remain resolute. Let your thought be on the higher than the highest, God and Him only in His Son Jesus Christ should be your beacon in your course to fulfill your destiny.

"And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind." Gen 37:11 NKJV
Initially, Joseph’s brothers hated him because of his father’s love for him; his dream added more to their envy.
Application
You may or may not have the pamper of Joseph but keep this point in your heart let not the envy and hatred of some around you deter you from pressing forward. Reply envy and hatred with love as much as you can. Matt 5: 44 & 46
The Lord says in Matthew 5:44 Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you KJV

“Now when they saw him afar off, even before he came near them, they conspired against him to kill him. Then they said to one another," Look, this dreamer is coming!
Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, 'Some wild beast has devoured him.' We shall see what will become of his dreams!" Gen 37:18-20 NKJV
We can see this situation requires God’s intervention. Sentence of death was passed on Joseph without him knowing.
‘…We shall see what will become of his dreams’ i.e Joseph’s destiny
Application
Whichever way we view it, either orchestrated from above or not, the truth is that one can not boast that near or similar situation that is capable of terminating one’s destiny may not stare one in the face.
What should I do?
Be a man of prayer and remain on the Lord’s side i.e. walk in His ways. The Lord will see to it that you fulfill your destiny. The wise side of life to live is to walk in His ways, as this is the only sure way to fulfill your destiny.
Psalm 91 is a potent addition to our daily prayers.
Note:
The greatest enemy of destiny is the wicked one.
How can I overcome him?
Practical:
Feed on God’s Word Matt 4:4 and live His Word.
Our Lord is showing it to us in His Word here:
“I have written to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked one.” 1 John 2:14 NKJV
You are to overcome the wicked one by God’s Word.
How?
Fill yourself with the Word

“So it came to pass, when Joseph had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him” Gen 37:23 NKJV
In the scripture we see that people forcibly tore their clothes as a result of painful experiences, anguish, shame etc.
Joseph did not tear or forcibly remove his tunic of many colors. But it is not much of surprise to see the wicked one inducing his attackers to make Joseph’s tunic of many colors their first point of attack this time thereby bringing pain and anguish into Joseph’ life. Even though they used his clothe to deceive Israel into believing that his son was killed by wild animal...
...One fact is, Joseph was stripped of his father’s emblem of love.
Application
Are you stripped of your fame, protection, wealth, position or glory, and pain, anguish and shame is all your are experiencing, it is not the end of life, all you need do is come to our Lord Jesus Christ. You can fulfill your destiny.

“Then they took him and cast him into a pit. And the pit was empty; there was no water in it”. Gen 37:24 NKJV
This would have being the last place Joseph would like to see himself, in the pit.
God does not want you dead, no matter your position or condition; whatever you have done He wants you up. Is impossibility of survival staring you in the face? That is not your lot. Are you saying; my life holds no hope for me, remember in Joseph's pit, sentence of death was still looming, his survival was hung by a thread, if viewed with the eye of man. Whatever must have taken one to the lowest pit of life is not the end, either by oneself or by the wicked one. God is waiting for you to call upon Him so that He will appear on your behalf.
Application
What to do?
Here is our Lord's response
"Is anyone among you in trouble? He should pray..." James 5:13 TEV.
You have to know that final verdict on your life lies with the supreme God in Christ. Job 2:6
Look at it here
So the Lord said to Satan, "All right, Job is in your hands, but you are not allowed to kill him." Job 2:6 ERV
All you need do is open your mouth and pray in this manner;
Lord, You did not create me in vain, you have a purpose for my life, I am interested in your plan for me, help me Father. I need your help, get me out of this situation and place me in my destiny in Jesus name.

“Come and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites…” And his brothers listened.
Let's sell him to these Ishmaelites. Then we won't have to hurt him; after all, he is our brother, our own flesh and blood." His brothers agreed,
and when some Midianite traders came by, the brothers pulled Joseph out of the well and sold him for twenty pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took him to Egypt. Genesis 37:27-28 TEV
To the Ishmaelites and Joseph brothers, Joseph’s worth was 20 shekels of silver.
Application
Do not be surprised that you may not be rated much by some but to your God and Our Lord Jesus, you are very important and valued more than any amount put together in the world.
As Joseph had an important task from the Lord to execute in this world, so also you have an important job to do in this life, though it may differ from Joseph’s even from others.
Joseph was sold out of envy for 20 shekels of silver likewise you may not be valued much by some; this should not be a hindrance to you.
You must not let this affect your self esteem for our Lord value you more to have being preserving your life to the present for an important purpose i.e. your destiny. Please, keep this in your heart that you are of value to God and to man and you will do the great work God has purposed for you in this world to the glory of the Lord.

“So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.” Gen 39:4 NKJV
Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought Joseph from the Ishmaelites but God gave Joseph favor in the sight of the Egyptian man.
Application
Allow God to have His way in your life. Feed on the Word of God, this will prosper your ways and all your doings in your destiny.

And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. Genesis 39:5 KJV
From verse 2 – 5 of Gen 39 one can easily see the number of times the scripture is saying that the Lord was with Joseph. Joseph allowed God to have His way in his life and Joseph was filled with the Spirit of God thus this reflected in his works.
Application
Do not harbor any reservation when you observe that people prosper as a result of your work or association with them. As they are blessed your spiritual blessing is on the rise and you are on your way unto greater glory in your destiny.

“So he left everything he owned in Joseph's charge; and with him there he did not concern himself with anything except the food which he ate…” Gen 39:6 NASB
Joseph was tested with small responsibility by his master potiphar, he did well, and Portiphar transfer the rest of running of his household to Joseph.
Please see this wonderful Word of God in Matt 25:23
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. KJV
As your sincerity and diligence is recognized, more responsibility will be given to you and this is where one has to be more careful and prayerful, fill yourself with the Word of God.
The Word of God in Matt 25:23 turns out to be the process or order of what normally happens in Destiny. When Heaven sees that you are falthful in small thing, more responsibilties will be given to you, on and on, till you fulfill your destiny. We can call this pattern; Ladder Of Growth In Destiny.
Application
One’s destiny may require that you rise up to certain spiritual state before the REAL task is given to you. In this regard you have to be very careful, watchful and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The guiding point here is FAITHFULNESS to God and to His Word.
Q]
“And it came about after these events that his master's wife looked with desire at Joseph..." Gen 39:7 NASB
We can see that it was not Joseph that was desiring; from the above verse, it’s the other way round.
Application:
One should be careful here; you may see some offer or temptation thrust at you that can derail God’s plan for you, therefore be subject to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 says Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. KJV

“… How then can I do this great evil and sin against God?” Gen 39:9 AMP
“This is the way Joseph saw the temptation through the Spirit “… How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"
Application
This teaches us that we should keep away from sin; it is an enemy of destiny. It may look foolish to others but in the eyes of God, wisdom and the Lord will reward you accordingly if you walk in His ways.

“When his master heard the story his wife told him, saying, "This is how your slave treated me," he burned with anger.
Joseph's master took him and put him in prison, the place where the king's prisoners were confined…” Gen 39:19-20 NIV
When Joseph’s master heard the story against Joseph, out of anger he took decision that move Joseph closer to fulfill his destiny. Though, to Joseph, it was not a good experience, but the all knowing Father continue to move Joseph nearer to achieving His plan for Joseph as the Lord saw that Joseph remain faithful to Him.
Application
Do not accept adversity as end of life or setback.
Our Lord says in the following verse;
"So if you are suffering according to God's will, keep on doing what is right, and trust yourself to the God who made you, for he will never fail you." 1 Peter 4:19 NLT
As you are faithful to God, the painful present may not be punishment but the way of God in taking you closer to fulfill the plan of God for your life which is your destiny.
Take all things to God in prayer.

But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. Genesis 39:21 KJV
Normally, one can not expect much in any prison, this is not the case with Joseph because he kept to the path of the Lord all the time.
God did two things for Joseph in the prison; God showed him MERCY and gave him FAVOR in the sight of the person meant to keep him in bondage.
Mercy and Favor are part of God’s covenant with those who chose to fulfill their destiny and are in it.
See this wonderful Word of God:
“All the paths of the Lord are Mercy and Steadfast Love, even Truth and Faithfulness are they for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.” Ps 25:10 AMP
and in Daniel 1:9 NKJV
“Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs.”
In another rendering of Ps 25:10
The Lord is kind and true to those who obey what he said in his agreement. Psalms 25:10 ERV
For you that is entering your destiny now and some that are already in it,
The Word of God above in Ps 25:10 is for you and a surety.

So the warden placed Joseph in charge of all the prisoners who were in that prison. Joseph became responsible for everything that they were doing.
The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph's care because the Lord was with Joseph and made whatever he did successful. Genesis 39:22-23 GW
What is happening in the above verse is the same occurrence in Genesis 39 verses 4 and 6
Look at them
Verse 4
“..Then he [Portipher] made Joseph overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. Verse 6 “Thus he left all that he had in Joseph's hand...”
The verse below give us an insight into the above occurences that look coincidental, which is not but the Lord's wish. This is why the Lord says in Hebrews 1:9
"You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy." NIV
So we can see that Joseph was given responsibilities by Portipher without supervision and Portipher felt secured. In the prison, keeper of the prison did the same thing by handing over some work to Joseph without supervision, Joseph did well.
Joseph took his work in Portipher’s house with all seriousness, diligence, he did same thing in prison, he put in his best, and refused to work below God’s standard. Joseph was able to please God and gained the confidence of his superiors [Portipher and keeper of the prison] enough for them to rely on him even up to the point of nearly putting themselves under him.
You will observe that lives and properties were committed into the hand of Joseph.
Application:
The principle Joseph adhered to is in God's Word;
" Work hard, but not just to please your masters when they are watching. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." Eph 6:6-7 NLT
We should not despise any assignments we are given, one should take it as important and be able to work without supervision and with sincerity.
For it may be a period in time, when the Lord is grooming us with the work in hand, for a greater glory in our destinies.

Gen 39… ext 1
Mark of Distinction:
Is someone saying Joseph is different from me?
We receive divine answer to such question from the word of God below in Acts 10:34-35.
“And Peter opened his mouth and said: Most certainly and thoroughly I now perceive and understand that God shows no partiality and is no respecter of persons, But in every nation he who venerates and has a reverential fear for God, treating Him with worshipful obedience and living uprightly, is acceptable to Him and sure of being received and welcomed [by Him].” Acts 10:34-35 AMP
Our Lord does not see you less important nor love you less in any way. Mark of distinction is where each person places God in his life. Joseph placed God where Heaven was pleased with him; he made God the center and pilot of his life. And our faithful Lord responded by being with Joseph all the time and prospered his ways in the course of his destiny in life.
This Divine principle applies to all [Man including you]; we have to place God higher than the highest in our lives so that He will be our all in all.
It is a matter of choice and the scripture is encouraging you saying; choose life Deut 30:19 i.e. choose God in Christ Jesus.
It is in this direction you will locate and fulfill your destiny.

Gen 39… ext 2
From Gen 39:2 you will see the number of times the scriptures say that the Lord was with Joseph. In all the places Joseph stayed [Portipher’s house and the prison], each of Joseph’s masters in Gen 39 Vs 2, 3, 5, 21 and 23 saw that the Lord was with Joseph.
Let us raise God in Christ so high in our lives that God will manifest Himself in our lives.
How?
Obedience to the Word.
What is the yardstick of the height Joseph raised God, let us go to this chapter, Genesis 39:9
It reads:
"Joseph counted this a great sin against God"
Meaning;
Joseph saw God closer than Portipher, his master. Joseph feared God more than Portipher his physical master. Joseph’s obedience starts from Heaven [The Throne of God] Eph 1:20, imagine the height. Joseph did everything with the consciousness of his Omnipresent Father. The likes of God were his likes and vise versa. Joseph was seeing with the Light of God’s Word.
Application:
See with the Light of God’s Word.
Let the Word of God be your Light to WALK in this World.
“Thy WORD is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Ps 119:105 KJV
Joseph could not afford minutest thing to create the least separation between him and God.
Can I do it?
Yes you can.
Whatever the present may be is immaterial; I am far too dip in the negative to the point of no return or I’m not sure of myself is not in the dictionary of God, to man it may look difficult but to God all things are possible. Take the decision now and start to live by it. This is time for you to move into your destiny.
Are you in your destiny already?
This exposition of the word of truth above is very potent for your success and to all.

Hebrews 12:2 says ‘Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God’ KJV
Jesus loves you so much that He left His Heavenly throne and came down to this world for you to have eternal life.
Give your life to Jesus now.
"The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart"
Please invite Jesus Christ into your life now by saying the following:
Lord God Almighty, I come to You in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ, for the scriptures say "whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved" NKJV Acts 2:21
I accept Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord. I believe that Jesus Christ took my sins when He died at the cross. I believe that when He was buried, it was for me. I believe that when He arose, it was for me. I am saved. Glory to God. Rom 10:9
Congratulations for your new life as a child of God. Read your Bible all the time to increase your spiritual growth in Christ Jesus. Joshua 1:8
"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you" Amen. 2 Thess 3:18 NKJV

“Some time later, the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt offended their master, the king of Egypt. Pharaoh was angry with his two officials, the chief cupbearer and the chief baker, and put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, in the same prison where Joseph was confined.” Gen 40:1-3 NIV
Let us look at the overview of events here in Gen 40:1-2,
Joseph was not aware that God had made two of Pharaoh’s servants to upset him, thus they were bringing them into the care of Joseph to wait on them in prison. And these two officials of pharaoh would play some important role in the course of Joseph's destiny.
We can see that it took some considerable time when Joseph was in the prison, but he kept doing his work as though he was doing it for the Lord.
What we learnt here is that
Joseph was doing the job on hand whole heartedly to have earned him recognition by his superior in the prison.
When Joseph was in Potiphar’s house he did same. Gen 39:4-5 please look at the application.

Application:
Likewise, one should do his present work as though the Lord is supervising him. Exception is if one has a serious conviction that one must leave it. Let the scripture be your guide here; assuredly our Lord has a way of ministering to one in no ambiguous term in situation like this.
Thus by satisfying and obeying the Holy Spirit in one’s present work, Heaven will be doing all the necessary things that will accommodate and fuse one’s present into ushering one into his/her destiny.
The necessary people and things for you to be on your path to fulfill your destiny, God will bring them your way; this is why we say and define destiny thus:
'Destiny is the purpose of God for Man and in the plan of God.'
How you can satisfy the Lord in your present Job and allow Holy Spirit to put plans in order for you to fulfill your destiny is by Living the Word.
And by reserving a portion of your heart for one thought that you are in this world for a very important purpose and you are not here in vain, always back this with prayer and live the Word.

“And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he ministered unto them: and they continued a season in ward.” Gen 40:4 ASV
Here in the prison, chief of the butlers and chief of the bakers were brought directly to Joseph by his superior, captain of the guard, to minister unto them.
Finger of God?
Isn’t it?
God uses these two Pharaoh officials as Links in the Path*of Joseph’s destiny.
Application
How does it relate to me?
God is always bringing Man’s links in the Path of his destiny to him in one form or the other.
How can I get my Link in the Path of my destiny?
By obedience.
Obeying God by His Word.

And these two had a dream on the same night; the chief wine-servant and the chief bread-maker of the king of Egypt, who were in prison, the two of them had dreams with a special sense. And in the morning when Joseph came to them he saw that they were looking sad. And he said to the servants of Pharaoh who were in prison with him, Why are you looking so sad? Genesis 40:5-7 BBE
In the course of Joseph’s duties, he came to the cupbearer and baker of Pharaoh only to see them sad. Joseph asked, "Why are your faces so sad today?"
Normally, when one looks at the situation in prison, it is not a place one should expect the inmates to feel happy all the time. But Joseph’s compassionate heart, made him to ask of their conditions. Joseph felt concerned.
Application
One needs to have compassion towards others for one to succeed in his destiny. (i.e. strong feeling of sympathy for people who are suffering and a desire to help)
Destiny of Man, always have something to do with human beings.
For one to make it in one’s destiny, a heart with (full of) compassion for others is necessary, for it might even be one’s breakthrough as it was in Joseph’s destiny.

Joseph was gifted in this understanding of God’s way of communicating with people
And it profited him.

There are certain gifts God deposited in you as well, it may differ from Joseph’s, try to lay hand on them.
Do not ignore any; they are your tools to fulfill your destiny.
What is said of you is irrelevant, as far as they are in accordance with the Word of God and not against the Word in any form.

Joseph told both butler and baker that interpretations of dreams belong to God. Gen 40:8
Let us look into that wonderful word,
Joseph placed God first and God as the solution of their problems.
Joseph declared to them that Spirit induced dreams came from God and God alone has the interpretation…
Joseph implored them to tell him their dreams he even added the word Please
His pleading was not based on fun or trivial but from a heart that wanted to help others.
Your sincerity in wanting to help others may turn out to be your breakthrough in your destiny, can you notice the word? ‘please’, Joseph added it to break down any opposition they may want to raise.
Application
We must have barrier breaker approach in our attitude when we want to help people. If it is not present, one has to pray that God should fill one with His Spirit. You have to understand that you are in this world to help others; this is true to all destinies.

Joseph with help from God gave accurate interpretation to the dreams of the chief butler and the chief baker
The gift God deposited in Joseph became very useful at this point in time.
Joseph was a man filled with God thus he was able to interpret the dream of the chief butler; he then moved further to interpret the dream of the chief baker as well.
Being filled with God can not be over emphasized because He is the source of all good gifts. Placing God high and trusting Him, He will always appear when you need Him most, especially in instances of this nature.
I repeat the gifts of God in you do not ignore or trivialize them, search them out; God deposited them in you for your use in your destiny.

Joseph begged Pharaoh’s butler to help him table his matter before Pharaoh immediately he regained his freedom so that he could be released as well. Gen 40:14
Application
In this journey of life when you need help there is nothing bad in asking for help.
Joseph asked the chief butler to remember him when it is well with him. He asked help from appropriate person, though it took two years, but it came. It became his opening into his real destiny.
You must learn to open your mouth and ask for help when necessary. It means humbling oneself; we need humility somehow, especially to succeed in our destinies.

Pharaoh dreamt and when nobody could interpret Pharaoh’s dream that was the time the butler remembered Joseph and how he interpreted his dreams and that of the baker Gen 41:9-13
From the time Joseph interpreted butler’s and baker’s dreams and the time pharaoh had his dream, was two years span and Joseph was still in the dungeon.
Application
Perseverance and endurance are very important in our journey in life, no matter the condition, and to remain on the Lord’s side all the time for It is written in 2 Peter 1:6 "And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness" KJV
Let God have His way in your life in whatever situation you may find yourself. Do not hinder God’s work in any way in your heart or indeed, so that Heaven will help you tie up all the ends that seem loose to you, place you in your destiny and guide you to fulfill your destiny.

Winning position
So the king called for Joseph. The guards quickly brought him out of the prison, and he shaved, put on clean clothes, and went before the king. The king said to Joseph, "I have had a dream, but no one can explain its meaning to me. I have heard that you can explain a dream when someone tells it to you."
Joseph answered the king, "I am not able to explain the meaning of dreams, but God will do this for the king. Genesis 41:14-16 NCV
Application
Saints, I want you to see Man’s winning position, advancement in life and in his destiny in this wonderful Word of God.
Pharaoh said to Joseph “I have had a dream, but no one can explain its meaning to me. I have heard that you can explain a dream when someone tells it to you."
Joseph corrected Pharaoh by saying "I am not able to explain the meaning of dreams, but God will do this for the king."
Joseph quickly put things the way it should be i.e. God is the source and the interpreter, I am a vessel so God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
Remember Joseph said same thing in Gen 40:8
Saints, this is your winning position in your destiny.

One should honor God in Christ always in ones life, to locate and fulfill his/her destiny.

In Gen 41:14-16 Joseph said "I cannot do it," Joseph replied to Pharaoh, "but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires." one can easily see that Joseph was not in any way interested in ego building but to walk in the higher power greater than all. This greater power can only be achieved by total reliance on God in Christ Jesus i.e. obeying and meditating on the Word of God...
His Spirit will then guide you aright.
There are some areas; I will not like you to miss in this teaching, before we go forward.
Pharaoh concluded his story of his dream and said; Joseph, I narrated my dreams to my people and nobody could tell me the meaning of the dream. Gen 41:24
Nobody could explain the dream because the Time and Dream were the plan of God. For anyone to have any understanding of the dream, he needed to have the Spirit of God in him as everything about it is of God. This was why the magician, Pharaoh and others in Egypt could not understand the dream.

How does it relate to me?
Any understanding of your destiny can only come from God because the world does not exist outside the plan of God but in the plan of God and all things are subject to God in Christ Jesus.
Mysteries relating to Destinies of man belong to God the Father and are revealed to whom He wishes in Christ ONLY, the book of Deuteronomy 29:29 gives us understanding that:
Secret things belongs to the Almighty God and He reveals His secret to whom He likes at the time He wants

From the above verses we need to pray for divine understanding and scriptural interpretation of ways by which God make His revelation known to us.
Which ever way God shows us revelation of things to come, if it is repeated and persistent, prayerfully explore and analyze it. Some important message is being passed to you from Heaven and it may help you in the course of your destiny.
Joseph knew this act, he applied it to himself and he was able to do same to the chief butler, the baker and now to Pharaoh.
A word of caution here, Joseph was able to help others with his gift by the Spirit of God in him. We also need the indwelling Holy Spirit i.e. Spirit of God to help us too.

Joseph gave interpretation of Pharaoh’s dream with the help of God.
Conclusively Joseph said; “Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt”. Gen 41:33 KJV
You will observe that Joseph did not elect himself in the above verse.
And even probably Joseph would have preferred his freedom only on human line but he relied on God. Gen 40:14-15

In this area we need the leading of the Lord in our lives so that our desires will not override God’s plan for us which is always the best.

Joseph made God the center and pilot of his life.

There is a level you lift God high in your life and God a Faithful God will make you perfect, a success, a wonder and relevant in this life and in your generation.

Pharaoh looked at his servants and asked them if they could find any man equal to Joseph in the whole Egypt, anyone with Spirit of God in him as Joseph Gen 41:38
Can you see the remark of Pharaoh?
Pharaoh was stunned.
All the people Joseph worked for saw that the Spirit of God was in him. We need to walk with God and be filled with His fullness.
Pharaoh declared Joseph a champion and unequal in Egypt for one reason because of the Spirit of God in him. God wants to make you a champion and unequal more than you are now, if you allow His Spirit to lead you.

Pharaoh looked at Joseph and said to him, since God revealed all this meaning to you, we believe no one is as intelligent as you are or has wisdom or understanding better than you Gen 41:39
Pharaoh accepted and declared Joseph more intelligent, discreet and understanding and wiser than everyone in Egypt because of the Spirit of God in the life of Joseph.
Can I be like this?

This is what God wants to do in your life and with your life in your destiny in this world.
As the Lord was with Joseph, so also He wants to be with you for He does not love you less.

There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one (man) in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28 ASV
This is why the Lord is calling you to enter into your destiny through Him now.

Pharaoh looked at Joseph and told him, God gave you the interpretations of these dreams, we have seen there is none as wise as you in this country; be in charge of the whole Egypt and my people except by my throne I am higher than you in authority. Genesis 41:39-41
Joseph was promoted into his God written Plan i.e. his destiny right in the presence of Pharaoh and in the full glare of all in Egypt.
Joseph was not carried away because he knew God’s plan for him was not limited to the Governor of Egypt. He knew there was more to it than that. Joseph remained faithful to God.
Likewise if you are in any enviable position, it is of God, you have to learn from Joseph. For it may be for a reason and according to God’s plan and one should not say no more pressing forward, more importantly walking with God in Christ Jesus.
Application
One should pray that God should show him the reason for bringing him to that enviable position.

Joseph was thirty years old in Egypt when the full manifestation of God’s plan was revealed in him after thirteen years of unpredictable sojourning in their midst. Immediately Joseph was posted to the position of authority, he started about his duty without any delay Gen 41:46
From the above verse, Joseph left the presence of pharaoh and immediately setout to work.

I want to tell you there is no laziness in any destiny just like other earthly assignments.

Heaven does not accept/encourage laziness; we must work hard to achieve our best in our divine assignments and please God all the time.

When Joseph saw how guilty his brothers felt for what they did to him, so that his brothers might not take irrational step, Joseph told his brothers that they should not be angry with themselves for the whole thing was a plan of God for him to preserve their lives in the present situation Gen 45:5

Joseph did not harbor hatred toward his brothers.

We should avoid hatred as much as we can in the course of our destiny, for it is written

Joseph told his brothers that God was the One that sent him to Egypt ahead of his family not by their plan and God is the One that made him a ruler of Egypt Gen 45:8
God had designed His plan in such a way that it was under the ruler ship of Joseph that Israel would prosper and grow into a nation. Joseph would be Governor to them and to the Egyptian nation where they would live till after the death of Joseph.
This explanation above is the concise purpose for which Joseph was created and for this reason he came into this world. We represent this as Arrow head of one's destiny Gen 45:5 and 7, Gen 50:20

In the same manner, with everything surrounding destiny we should not loose focus of our specific assignment in this world i.e. Arrow Head of Destiny.

The startof Joseph’s destiny is the decision to love God and do things that are pleasing to God and turn his back on evil.
The Path of Joseph’s destiny begins from the time of his being forcefully taken from Dothan Gen 37:17-28 and to the presence of Pharaoh Gen 41. Scripturally the line actually starts from the time Joseph decided to stick to Godinstead of siding with his brothers in the wrong ways.
Arrow head is a word we use to represent concise purpose one's existence in this world is meant to achieve to the glory of God in Christ Jesus.

Keep your mind unto things of God because destiny is authored by God and for one to fulfill it, you have to have a mind that will do things acceptable to God and do it in Christ Jesus.
Joseph chose God’s path, this is the starting of Joseph’s entrance into his destiny. As you are pleasing God, by His infinite power and wisdom the Lord will bring His divine plan into operation and guide you into the entrance of fulfilling your destiny.

You see the word of God above in Mark 12:29-31 Saints that are reading this message, this is the key for you to obey God. As the Word of God above in Mark 12:29-31 is living in your heart, you will not find it difficult to obey God.

The next wonderful verses from the Scripture will show us the Will of God
“They then said, What are we to do, that we may [habitually] be working the works of God? [What are we to do to carry out what God requires?]” John 6:28 AMP
Jesus says in John 6:29 the will of God is that all should believe in Him sent down from heaven
Another beautiful rendering:
“Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger].” John 6:29 AMP
I am sure, we can see those meaning in bracket; [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger], well interpreted.
This is exactly the Will of God that we should cleave to Our Lord, trust Our Lord Jesus Christ, rely on Our Lord Jesus Christ, and have faith in God's Son Jesus Christ the Heir of all things for us to fulfill our destiny.
Can I have a reason for this?

For in the scripture;
The Lord says
All things are delivered unto me [Jesus Christ] of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.” Matt 11:27 KJV

Holy Spirit through John the Baptist reaffirms here that;

The Word of God in Matt 11:27 is all encompassing it is nudging us into a serious consciousness that man's destiny is in Christ ONLY.

What the scripture is saying in Matt 11:27 is that ALL THINGS (everything, destinies of Man including yours) have been entrusted and delivered to our Lord Jesus Christ.

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find (good, green) pasture.” John 10:9
There are two things Our Lord is telling us in the above verse;
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved...” if anyone comes to the Lord he will be saved i.e. SALVATION.
After salvation one “will go in and out and find pasture.” i.e. everything pertaining to your destiny. [Pasture means the circumstances of your life, your work/job etc.]
Another rendering here
"I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved. They will be able to come in and go out. They will find everything they need." ERV
What the scripture is saying is that everything one is struggling to get, riches, glory, peace, happiness and all other things are in God’s Plan for you in Christ Jesus.
Everything you need to fulfill your destiny had been provided by God for you in Christ. Our Lord will guide you as your Shepherd to fulfill your God given destiny and by this Heavenly Father will be glorified in your life.
Can we move in divine illumination some more.
John 10:9 helps us to know that after salvation take a step into to your destiny in Christ.

And He is the judge of all human beings Acts 17:31, John 5:24, please come and pass through the right WAY, I’m pleading with you now, Jesus is the only right Way [John 14:6].

When destiny is mentioned, one must strive to find out God’s purpose for his life because to every one in Christ, sole purpose of God for each person is answered in Jer 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” KJV
This is the only thing in the mind of God as to the destiny of every one in Christ.
We have scriptural evidences of where people’s destinies were revealed before they were born. And sometimes, some destinies were made known to some at one time or another, till date.
There is connection between salvation and God’s plan for individual (destiny) in Christ. As it is unwise to procrastinate your salvation, likewise God’s purpose for your life (your destiny) in Christ.
Basic of the matter is, God does not like to hinder us from knowing our destinies and is not in the habit of hoarding the knowledge of our destinies. Often hindrance is earthly and not always from God as sin which ensnare us is earthly (Isa 59:12-17) and by the evil one. All glory to God for a new life He gives in Christ and the victory in His Word. Therefore we use word of God and Prayers to clear things and allow our free access to the knowledge of our destinies as there is no man that does not have destiny.
Please persevere in prayer, do not be deterred by the time it takes until you receive answer from heaven. Pray with all your heart. I believe our Lord Jesus will show you your destiny. See Mathew 7:7-8
Note
• It is good to have clear and undiluted mind in this prayer so that we do not let our heart desires (probably if contrary) hinder us from receiving God’s will.
• Pure mind to enter into our destinies and move in the will of God is important.
Your sincerity of heart toward God, that indeed you want to enter into your destiny for the Glory of God will help here.
Your destiny is the reason God is preserving you to this present.

I receive the Spirit of God to accept God’s plan in Jesus name.
